The previous round at Silverstone saw PETRONAS Sprinta Racing rider Niki Tuuli display one of his best performances to date. The Moto2 rookie frequently appeared in the top twenty during practice, before going on to qualify just 1.4seconds off Pole Position.
With the unfortunate circumstances that led to the cancellation of all three races at the British Grand Prix, Tuuli is more determined than ever to turn his positive momentum into results this weekend.

“I’m really looking forward to Misano this weekend; I know the track already and this definitely helps a little bit, but still I need to stay calm and focused. Last time at Silverstone we took a big step in the right direction. We improved the bike and my riding felt a lot better. I hope we can continue like this in Misano and keep progressing to become even closer to the front. I really want to achieve my target of getting into the points this weekend. I feel so close to it; I’m going to do everything I can!”
